Delete your PotooVPN account

This page explains how to request deletion of your PotooVPN account and associated data for the PotooVPN apps and services at potoovpn.com.

How to delete your account

Use any method below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — In the PotooVPN app (fastest)

1. Open the PotooVPN app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Security.
3. Open Delete account.
4. Confirm the warnings and complete the confirmation step (password or OAuth confirmation).

Option 2 — Account dashboard (web)

1. Sign in to your account dashboard at potoovpn.com/login.
2. Open Dashboard → Account (potoovpn.com/dashboard/account).
3. Scroll to the Delete account section, confirm the warnings, and submit.

Option 3 — Request by email

1. Email hello@potoovpn.com from the address on your account.
2. Use subject line: PotooVPN account deletion request.
3. Include the account email you want deleted.
4. We will verify ownership and delete the account.

We aim to complete email requests within 30 days of verifying your request (often sooner).

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove account-linked data from our systems, including:

• Account profile (email, name, authentication tokens / sessions)
• Plan / entitlement records we store for your account
• VPN session, usage, and quota records tied to your account
• Device push tokens registered for your account
• Support tickets and messages you opened with us
• Referral / affiliate profile data tied to your account (where applicable)
• Saved VPN profile credentials we store for your account

What may be kept or is outside our control

• Google Play purchases: subscription and purchase history managed by Google Play remain under Google’s policies. Cancel or manage Play subscriptions in Google Play if needed.
• Legal / security retention: we may retain limited records when required by law, fraud prevention, or dispute handling (for example, anonymized or minimized transaction references). We do not keep your account active for product use after deletion.
• Optional analytics / crash tools: if you previously allowed diagnostics, providers may retain events for their normal retention window. You can turn diagnostics off in the app before deleting.
• Community VPN exits: independent exit operators do not receive your PotooVPN account profile from us; we cannot delete data held only by those operators.
• Aggregated metrics: de-identified operational statistics that cannot reasonably identify you may remain.

After deletion

• You will be signed out and lose access to Plus and account features tied to that login.
• You can create a new account later with the same email; it will be a new account.
